					<description>I do think we need to stop using terms like "generous" when speaking of ourselves. Truly generous people do not refer to themselves like that so it hurts credibility.  That is a &lt;em&gt;very&lt;/em&gt; minor point though (I cannot emphasize that enough) because this is a really good article.  You brought up fantastic counter-perspectives that most people have never thought about. Such things can be difficult to measure too (not everyone claims all their giving on their taxes) so there will always be arguments on either side.

I have mixed feelings about these celebrities too.  While I think that objectively speaking, they do more good than harm overall and have good intentions, it would be nice if they would stop with the finger pointing and guilt trip thing.  That's not going to get results.
